Bolt Length - (Nominal Length)
(privacy policy)
This app is an app for calculating the length of screws.
*: This app does not guarantee the effectiveness of the combination.
*: Please use at your own risk.
Compliant with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS).
All screws are metric coarse threads.
For mechanical design.
For use only within Japan. (To comply with Japanese Industrial Standards (JIS))
※:Note!
We do not guarantee the effectiveness of combinations of parts grades, strength classifications, materials, etc.
In addition, the effectiveness of the threading allowance and poor combination due to incomplete threads are not taken into account.
■How to operate
Double tap or pinch out to enlarge the screen, touch with two fingers, or pinch in to reduce the screen.
After enlarging, you can move it by dragging.
■About the button
1. Description on button
IS - Indicates JIS main body standard product
JA - Indicates JIS annexes.
From “Guide for switching from attached products to main body standard products”http://www.sunco.co.jp/street/pdf/JISGuide.pdf
2. Press “List” to display details of the current component.
3. Press "M○○" to change the current nominal diameter.
4. Press "△" to shorten the nominal thread length.
5. Press "▽" to increase the nominal thread length.
6. "Trash" deletes the current combination.
7. "UNDO" returns to the previous state. (up to 20 times)
■How to use
1. Select bolt type. Select the nominal diameter.
The second choice, M14, can be selected exceptionally.
The bolt length is automatically determined by the combination.
Half-thread is selected preferentially.
2. Select the elements to add (plates, washers, nuts).
Elements that are not within the nominal diameter range cannot be selected.
Once added, the length of the bolt will be determined automatically.
The nominal length has a margin of +2 pitches or more.
The number of elements that can be added is up to 15, including bolt types.
About plate-based elements
Input range: up to 3 digits after the decimal point
The range of thickness and depth that can be entered is the maximum nominal length of the selected bolt system.
The minimum depth of the tapped hole (blind) is the minimum nominal length of the selected bolt system.
3. You can change the nominal diameter by tapping the button that indicates the nominal diameter.
If the selected nominal diameter is not found in the component, the nominal diameter cannot be changed.
- When there is a counterbore hole in the component.
If the thickness of the plate becomes thinner than the depth of the counterbore due to changing the nominal diameter, change the thickness to the nominal diameter x2.
- If there is a tapped hole (blind).
If the tapped hole depth is insufficient, change the depth to match the nominal length.
4. By tapping the dimension value surrounded by a red frame,
You can change the thickness and depth of the element that belongs to that dimension value.
■List of selectable nominal diameters
